Wish List 2025
It’s that time of year again to revisit your Wish List. I didn’t do this last year as I was preoccupied with a looming surgery and just didn’t have the bandwidth. But a new year is upon us, it’s time to dream big and small. I revisited my Wish List from 2023 and found that I hadn’t checked anything off. I did do an Urban Sketching Class online and really enjoyed so I expanded that to actually practicing that skill this year. I didn’t get up to Boston for a baseball game and while I didn’t Summer in a Villa in Tuscany I did spend ten glorious days in Sicily. Sometimes you have to adjust your Wish List, and that’s ok. The point is to let your imagination run a little amok and be open to new adventures. It’s also just a way to nudge you out of your comfort zone and add some spice to the otherwise mundane days that can make up a year. Here are some of the Wishes I’m adding to the list this year…
-Spend weekends at my country house.
-Practice the art of field/urban sketching.
-Pick a century and study all of its aspects. (The 1920’s for me)
-Wash my lover’s hair.
-Stand in the torch of the Statue of Liberty.
-Attend a playwriting workshop.
-Have dinner with Barbara Streisand.
-Write my will.
-Bicycle through Holland when the tulips are in bloom.
-Dance in the moonlight.
-Stay in the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec.
-Make a pair of leather sandals.
-Taste something new.
-Visit a new museum once a month.
-Skate for miles on a frozen river with the wind at my back.
-Undertake a new challenge every month.
-See Niagara Falls from both sides of the border.
This should be enough to keep me busy. What are you adding to your Wish List this year?
